Accommodation:

The University will book accommodation to all the incoming exchange students. Accommodation is in shared apartments (2 – 3 students in the same flat, with a private room). Rent: 200 to 300€/month.

• Kokkola is a port city on the west coast of Finland – it has an amazing old wooden town called “Neristan”
• The university organises several events for exchange students and also has a student union
• There are several swimming pools, an ice hockey rink and also a golf course – of course there is also a public sauna and you have the opportunity to go hiking, fishing, cycling and bird watching in the nearby area; You can also visit the local cinema to watch a movie
• There is a pub in town, as well as several bars and a nightclub; For the very special feeling there is a bar on an old Danish fishing boat; Several coffee houses are available to get some fantastic Finnish coffee
• The city has a variety of restaurants of different cuisines to offer and also has food markets where you can buy fresh and local food
