The admission applies to undergraduate studies, master's studies, the University Gateway, and other services from 2025 to 2026.

All students at Bifröst University in credit-based studies are required to pay a registration fee. The registration fee is paid through a link in Uglan following the registration for studies. By paying the registration fee, the student confirms their enrollment in the programme. The registration period for studies is specified on the university's website.

If applying for studies outside the standard registration period, an additional surcharge is added to the registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable if the student discontinues their studies. An exception to this applies if the student is unable to continue their studies due to illness. In such cases, the student must submit a valid certificate, and the refund will be 75% of the registration fee.

The deadline for the registration fee for the autumn term is July 5th.

The registration fee at Bifröst University is to cover costs that are not otherwise covered by funding from HVIN. These costs include:

  • Promotional activities
  • Services provided by individuals who are not involved in teaching and research work
  • Costs associated with recording distance learning
  • Access to the university's library
  • Student registration system and access to computer systems
  • On-site sessions for students
  • Costs for student reception services
  • Management and administration
  • Contributions to the student union

The registration fee is non-refundable.
